Changing authors on a WordPress post is a pretty simple task and one that can be handled by users of all skill levels. But why would you need to change authors?
Say for example, you have a guest post written by someone who doesn’t normally write for your website. They send you the post in a doc and you then copy and paste it into WordPress. At that point the author of the doc is you, at least according to WordPress. Now of course, you’ll want to change that to reflect something else, whether that is a guest account you have set up as a user or something completely different you do on your web site.
To actually make the change , you’ll need to go to the top of the editing screen and click ‘Screen Options’. Once you have done that , simply click the ‘Author’ box and you will then see a new box below your editing screen. Then all you need to do is choose which author( or user) you want to credit the article to, as shown in the image below.
